Residency Program

The Cobb Mountain Art and Ecology Project is situated on a secluded 80-acre property in the Cobb Mountain Recreational Area, about 40 minutes North of Napa Valley in Northern California. We offer both emerging and established ceramic artists short-term and long-term residency options. Alongside our residents, our 80 acres of woodland are also home to multiple gardens, an orchard, chickens, and a goat.

The main studio houses three 150-square-foot studios that can be used as private or shared workspaces, plus a fourth larger private studio intended for 2-3 workspaces. These studios include ware carts, a work table, and a wheel if desired. The main studio provides an open-concept workspace with 2-3 individual works spaces filled with natural light, work tables, a wedging table, a slab roller, and a large sink basin. Studio spaces are assigned by the administration based on the best fit for studio needs and personal needs. Learn more about our facilities HERE.

Residents pay a monthly rent for studio space/housing and costs vary depending on living location and work-exchange. See the Resident Housing page for more details.

**Residents are responsible for their own materials and firing expenses during their term.
