Coiling Large Vessels with Scott Parady | September 19
Join CMAEP founder and director, Scott Parady for a one day demonstration on his process of making large vessels on the kick wheel, banding wheel and electric wheel. Scott will demonstrate handbuilding and throwing methods using coils that he has developed throughout his career. He will cover how to quickly make large work with the aid of a propane torch and his formal considerations for making large volumes to be fired in the wood kiln.
While the demonstration is only on September 19, participants in this workshop are invited to join in on a pizza party the night before this workshop and watch the soda kiln unloading on the day following.

Friday, September 18 @ 6:30 pm: Woodfired pizza pot luck with September Soda Firing Workshop (optional)
Saturday, September 19:
9:00 am: Meeting and introductions.
9:30 - 12:30: Demonstrations: handbuilding coil and sectional vessels.
12:30 - 1:30: Lunch break.
1:30 - 4:30: Demonstrations: handbuilding coil and sectional vessels continued and wheel throwing large jar forms.
Sunday, September 20 @ 10 am: Soda kiln unloading viewing (optional).

Two nights of camping at CMAEP, see the shop tab to purchase additional camping nights. When camping, you have access to a hot shower and bathroom.
24/7 access to a fridge, microwave and electric kettle.

Workshop Cancellation & Refund Policy:
In the event of cancellation by the registrant up to 45 days prior to the date of the event you will receive a refund of your purchase amount minus a $100 administrative fee, or $50 administrative fee to transfer into another available workshop. No refund will be given within 45 days of the workshop.
Minimum: A minimum number of 10 participants is required to run this workshop. If the workshop is not filled by August 22, the workshop may be canceled and those registered will receive a full refund.
